2nd URBANIZED Workshop: Creating the conditions for flexible, zero-emission, 100% electric city logistics
2nd URBANIZED Workshop: Creating the conditions for flexible, zero-emission, 100% electric city logistics
After a successful first session held in July 2021, the URBANIZED consortium hosted a second workshop that gathered over 30 logistics enthusiasts. The workshop was part of a series of multi-stakeholder dialogues that will culminate in a roadmap to identify the right mix of policies, strategies and measures to support the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) in city logistics.
The workshop combined presentations from the project partners IDIADA, VUB and CERTH, with interactive sessions facilitated by CERTH and Bax & Company. The presentations are available in the PDF and the video recording below. The two interactive sessions allowed participants to share opinions on the objectives and contents of the future URBANIZED roadmap, as well as practical measures that could help overcome current barriers for EV adoption.
The contributions collected will help answer the following main points:
- What should be the goals and objectives of the URBANIZED roadmap?
- Which content items (e.g., policy recommendations, best practices, impact assessment techniques, etc.) must be included in the roadmap?
- Which policies and actions can be implemented by public and private stakeholders to alleviate current challenges on electromobility in city logistics?
- How are these policies and actions evaluated in terms of ease of implementation and perceived benefit?
URBANIZED will host a third and final workshop to concretise the legal, financial, technological, infrastructural, and social actions and milestones needed for the uptake of EVs in city logistics.
Stay tuned to find out more!
