Partners come together in Dublin for TRA 2024.
From 15th – 18th April, several URBANIZED partners convened in Dublin, Ireland to represent the URBANIZED project at the Transport Research Arena (TRA) 2024.
The conference is the foremost European transport event that covers all transport modes and all aspects of mobility. It is the largest European research and technology conference on transport and mobility, and provided various opportunities for partners from Bax & Company, IDIADA, CERTH, and CLEPA to showcase exciting project developments to researchers, policymakers and industry representatives from across Europe.
With booths at both the European Commission and ALICE stands, the URBANIZED project was highly visible for organisers and visitors of the conference, with partners taking the opportunity to distribute invitations to our upcoming final event in Brussels.
Further in-depth innovations were showcased during two informative talks by URBANIZED partners.
On day 1, Simona Roka (IDIADA) presented details of the virtual simulations for passive safety carried out within the project during an insightful technical session.
On day 2, Zisis Maleas (CERTH) provided details of the Thessaloniki urban logistics digital twin, used within the project to evaluate the large-scale implementation of e-LCVs.
Both sessions were well-received, and prompted questions and discussions from engaged audiences. Congratulations both!
The remainder of the week was filled with interesting discussions and the demonstration of two informative URBANIZED videos. Visitors to the European Commission stand also took great interest in the crash test body brought by IDIADA.
The project explainer video filmed during our general assembly meeting in Brussels earlier this year and displayed at TRA can be viewed below.
